Summary

Globular jug on concave flat foot, with slightly flared cylindrical neck with small pinched lip, strap loop handle. Dark red earthenware showing treacly black through lead glaze, with white slip-trailed decoration on side beneath lip comprising concentric circles of alternating continuous and broken spotted lines. Neckdecorated with single white band beneath rim and date 1720 beneath lip.
