Summary

Coat; dark purple cloth lined white twilled silk; fronts each in one section to waist extending to side back, front edge curved out over chest fastening with two hooks and eyes, 6 cut steel buttons on right front, imitation buttonholes on left; high standing collar; skirt side front and side back cut in one, cut away to side in frint, back edge stitched down onto back section under pleat headed with button; back in two shaped sections extending below waist to form centre back of skert, open at centre below waist; long sleeves in two sections, slightly full at shoulder and narrow at wrist, turned-back cuff trimmed three buttons; lining padded and quilted on collar and shoulders; wig bag, black silk, trimmed large rosette of black satin ribbons, attached to back of collar. Breeches; shaped waistband lacing at back over gusset, fastening at front with two covered buttons and two horn buttons on small section each side of front under narrow flap, lined twilled silk, fastening with covered buttons on waistband; long narrow pocket in waistband to right of front; horn buttons for bracesc two each sied of front, one each side of front, one each side of back; legs seamed at centre back and front and at inner and outer leg; fastening at outer knee with four small cut steel buttons and kneeband with slot for buckle; strip of white wool plush inside kneeband. Waistcoat; cream silk, embroidered; back and facings twilled silk, lined white cotton; high standing collar, fronts each in one section cut away at angle below waist, fastening with 8 small embroidered button, long dart from neck parallel to front edge, shallow pocket each side eith shaped flap; embroidered in silk in satin stitch with floral borders and sprig in shades of purple, green and brown, back in two sections, seams open below waist with overlap at centre; two pairs of silk tape ties across back.
