Very loose A-line cocktail dress in vibrant blue printed silk in an abstract design; fastening full length cf with 7 self fabric covered buttons; short sleeves, round neck; lined navy silk; separate underdress with full flounces in net; labelled ''Christian Dior, London Ltd' and numbered '14270' and also labelled 'The Boutique, Brown, Thomas & Co, Dublin'. Probably belonged to Anne Moen Bullitt (1924-2007). Born in Paris and married 4 times, by 1955, Anne was living in Ireland. Anne Bullitt was tiny, making her clothes virtually unwearable for anyone else, and this is a size 12, although of a very loose styling.
