Mauve wool 2piece suit; fitted jacket with wide boat neckline with broad turn-down collar; flap pockets to hips; single breasted with 4 large circular self fabric buttons with stitched centres; 4 vertical darts each side front; lined satin; woven label 'Balenciaga, 10 Avenue George V, Paris' and numbered by hand '39 071'. Matching pencil skirt. Belonged to Vera McNair, born August 1917, a trained dressmaker.
