Mini cocktail dress in matt black silk: strapless bodice with swathed ruching front and back to low waist; huge 'pussy' bow to left side hip; lined black silk; woven label 'CD de Christian Dior, Robes de Soir, Paris, New York.' Purchased at auction. Donor phoned to say that he believed it dated to Gianfranco Ferre's period as chief designer at Dior (1989-1997)
