Evening's Last Gleam
Benjamin Williams Leader 1831 - 1923
Summary
Landscape scene depicting an overgrown bramble-ridden moorland with a well-trodden pathway leading off into the distance to the right. To the left, a group of tall trees grow amongst dense clumps of bushes, through which a large house can be seen. Two small figures stand amongst the bushes in the centre foreground. The sun is setting emitting a bright, yellow light which is being cast across the scene resulting in intense golden shades across the trees and the house.
