Interior of Great Hall, looking West. Thus end is remarkable for the numerous coats of arms of the different families connected by marriage with that of the Leghs. The capital letters indicate (in Latin) that "Thomas Legh and Catharine Sarah his wife in the year of our Lord 1505 restored (? or rebuilt) it in the 20th year of the reign of Henry VII."
