Scene from Don Quixote (vol 1, book 4, chapter 14) depicting 'Zoraida feigning to swoon in the garden'. Three figures in a garden landscape, the female figure of Zoraida slumped in a fainting pose to the left and caught by a young semi-naked man standing to her side. On the right an older bearded man approaches her, his arms raised in gesture. There is a dramatic, bright blue clouded sky in the background with dark and gloomy trees occupying the middle ground.
