Three quarter right side, head and shoulders portrait of Thomas Barrow of Pendleton, a grey-haired man standing against a landscape setting. He wears a dark cloth coat, with a high revered collar and a light waistcoat with a revered collar. He also wears a white shirt which has a high collar and a cravat. It is in a gilt frame with deep moulding and octagonal opening.
