Scarlet twilled silk printed with small black spot. Bias-cut, seamed down centre of underside, two diagonal seams across back neck, narrow at centre widening to point each end, one wider than the other, interlined canvas cut to shape of sewn-up tie and stopping short of point, lined white silk, label woven AUSTIN REED OF REGENT STREET, GUM TWILL.
