Summary
Public: Figure of Elijah and the ravens. White earthenware with a pearlware glaze, painted in pink, red, turquoise, green, black, brown and blue overglaze enamels. Private: Figure of Elijah seated against a tree feeding two ravens, one perched on his left shoulder, one by his left side eating a morsel of bread. Classical drapery comprising pink robes hemmed in brown with deep red cloak and black sandals, red-cheeked bearded face. Two ravens painted in black, tree with small bocage above Elijah's head in green, brown and red. Rocky oval mound base with applied shredded clay, painted in green with brown and blue details, plain white table on front with impressed inscription 'ELIJAH'. Finely crazed clear glaze.
