Summary

Machine embroidery made collaboratively by Alice Kettle in response to the collections at the Gallery of Costume, Platt Hall. Large coloured piece figuratively depicting a Mrs Maud Heath (nee Bradshaw) whose gloves are in the collection (1984.625). Mrs Heath contracted sleeping sickness on her honeymoon in the 1920s, the date of the gloves. Alice Kettle temporary Exhibition at Platt Hall, 15 Sept - 31 Dec 2010. Framed by the artist with a white wood surround.
