Summary

Public; Teapot made of hard paste porcelain, chinoiserie woodland scenes in gilt decoration with birds, branches and deer. Private; Teapot and lid, hard paste porcelain, globular form with high, domed lid and pointed knop, scrolled handle and spout terminating in a bird's head. Painted in gilt (gold) and etched with, on the body, two chinoiserie scenes, incorporating deer, each on a heavy scrollwork bracket. On the lid, birds, perched on branches. Scrollwork borders. Rims, handle and spout gilt.
