Summary

Private: Teapot and cover, hard paste porcelain, enamel colours and gilt with figures, coastal landscapes and flowers. Public: Hard paste porcelain, pear shaped, moulded with mask at base of curved spout, loop handle, domed cover with wide rim and pointed knop. Painted in iron red, purple, blue, green, yellow, brown, black and grey enamel colours with figures in coastal landscapes within cartouches of mother-of-pearl (Perlmutter) lustre and gilt, surrounded by scrollwork in iron red and purple.Stylized flowers (indianische Blumen) on handle and spout; a continous coastal scene around cover. Gilt lambrequin borders. Details picked out in gilt.
