Summary

Large oval serving plate with deep well, no footring and flattened rim with relief-moulded feather-edge border. Transfer-printed in overglaze black with 'Corinthian Ruins', rural landscape with ruined temple in foreground to right, two Turks in foreground to left, arched bridge over river in background to left before distant hill. Six floral sprigs in five variations to rim. Pale cream coloured earthenware body with scattered iron-brown specks and fine, slightly greenish, glaze, three groups of three stilt marks to underside.
