The figure stands, leaning to the left, holding in his right hand his hat, which contains a bird's nest with eggs, and in his left hand a dove. At his feet, on a high base decorated with moulded rococo scrolls and applied leaves and flowers, sits a dog. Painted in blue, mauve pink, brown, black, leaf-green, lemon yellow and iron red enamel colours, the details picked out in gilt.
