Worcester Porcelain Factory 1751

Summary

Public: Teapot, soft paste porcelain, painted overglaze in puce, purple, green, yellow, black and iron red enamels with bouquets and sprigs of flowers. Private: Globular teapot with thick footring, straight neck and thick plain handle. Painted overglaze on each side of body with bouquet of flowers including roses and lilies, and over rest of body, neck and spout with smaller sprigs of flowers. Back of handle picked out in gilt. No lid.
