Easter Evening

Henry Kondracki 1953

Summary

A view of the meadows in Edinburgh city. A man with bowler hat and brief case walks through the park at dusk with the street lights on. He is entirely white, with a yellow tie and handkerchief, and translucent in parts. In the distance to his left there is a boy in rollerskates and to his right a woman walks her dog. In the distance a tiny green dinosaur lumbers through the bare trees. In the background is a backdrop of tall buildings with lighted windows and a church. The sky is dark and purply with the sunsets. The street lights glow a fiery orange. There is a flowerbed with daffodils growing in the immediate foreground.
