Grey knitted jersey long drawers or "long johns" with cf fly opening, fastening with 3 pearl buttons (1 missing). Single matching button at front waist (? 1 missing). Opening cb with flannel gusset and 2 tape ties through eyelet holes. Similar tape ties machine sewn at front waist. Long ribbed section at ankles. Top faced with pale grey wool flannel. Label cb waist : Harborow's, New Bond Street, London W. and embroidered initials "C R A" and tiny woven label, yellow on white "2 Worn by Charles Roper Aldrich (d.1934) - see also vest 1994.57.
