Northern String Quartet: an evening of Manchester music with a classic twist
Northern String Quartet is an award-winning group with 17 years of experience in the Entertainment Industry. They have played on set for BBC2 & ITV1 Television, recorded for BBC Radio and performed with prestigious orchestras such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Hallé Orchestra & Opera North. Having performed over 2000 events with their world-class musicians, Northern String Quartet know exactly how to make a performance special using their expertise and passion for music.
Northern String Quartet are no stranger to Manchester Art Gallery, playing at weddings and corporate events, but this event is a first for us both and they are delighted to offer this unique experience putting a classical twist on some much loved Manchester anthems that you will no doubt be familiar with.
To add to your enjoyment the performances will take place in Gallery 16, where our Lowry and Valette paintings are exhibited – so sit down, soak up the Manchester atmosphere and enjoy this wonderful experience listening to, amongst others, the music of Oasis, Elbow, New Order, the Smiths and the Courteeners.
There are two performances available to book – 7 – 8 pm and 9 – 10 pm with the bar open before and after each performance.
Doors open at 6:15 pm and the bar will be open for your enjoyment.
