Exploring the online collection with audio description
Wednesday 24 February 2021, 10am–11.30am
This is a session for anyone who is blind and visually impaired who use Zoom and would enjoy exploring art works from Manchester’s collection. While we can’t gather in person at the gallery we would like to try a digital live session.
The session will be led by Learning and Curatorial staff from the gallery with live audio description with Anne Hornsby. It will focus on paintings, sculpture, ceramics and costume related to the theme of ‘work’. The session will be relaxed an informal and will be an opportunity to connect with others and have a chat.
The art works that will be discussed in the session can be emailed in advance so that you have time to view them at your own leisure before hand.
To book a place, please email Meg Parnell meg.parnell@manchester.gov.uk
Zoom details will then be sent to you in advance.
Zoom is very easy to access through a computer, phone or laptop that has a camera and microphone. You don’t need to create an account, you can click on the link that will come through and this will take you to the meeting.
