Brew Wild Manchester is a honey and herb beer project run in partnership with Grow Wild. The ingredients and inspiration for their Wild Honey beer have come from the wild urban areas of Manchester and Salford and the bee hives they support.
With a label designed by mancsy and brewed and bottled at the Red Willow Brewery in Macclesfield, the 900 litres of Honey & Herb Beer illustrate just how effectively our wild urban areas can be at contributing to more sustainable environments for future urban food production. Honey for the brew has come from bee hives at Manchester Art Gallery, Harpurhey, Heaton Park, Kersal Vale, Longford Park, Wythenshawe Park and Manchester Cathedral.
The launch event will combine short films of the project, Q&A with the project team, and of course tasting Wild Honey Beer.
