Meet with artists to look at a range of textile artworks from different decades, then use fun techniques to make stuff!
Manchester Art Gallery
Thursday 22 August 2019, 10.30am–12pm
The morning session on Thursday 22 August is a Family Friendly Austism session – go on a Textile Time Hop around the gallery, where you will meet with artists and look at a range of textile artworks from different decades. Test out fun making techniques including collage, rubbings and weaving.
Play in our early years studio where our youngest visitors can experiment with pattern and colour. You’ll get to use lots of lovely art materials and all our sessions are free.
While you’re here, why not eat your lunch in the School of Integration and tell us more about the creative activities you and your family enjoy. Discover what other families like to do and leave us suggestions about our future family sessions. And, our Clore Art Studio activities are also available everyday; you can build with soft blocks, draw, dress up and play table tennis.
Sessions run 31 July, 1,2,3 and 7,8,9,10 and 14,15,16,17 and 21,22,23,24 August
Autism Friendly sessions run 1 and 22 August , 10:30-12 pm
