An illustrated talk from tour guide Julia giving you a taste of our currently closed exhibition Out of the Crate.
Saturday 9 January 2021, 4pm–5pm
Free, please book on Eventbrite
Out of the Crate is an exciting exhibition of the Gallery’s sculpture collection, much of which had not been displayed for many years. The three rooms show how works are stored and cared for, explore hidden stories about works we know very little about, and encourage conversation about art. This part of Manchester Art Gallery is temporarily closed because of Covid, but this illustrated talk from tour guide Julia will give you a taste of the delights in store for you when it re-opens to the public.
Manchester Art Gallery has an amazing team of volunteer guides who deliver tours at the gallery usually four times a week. While we can’t gather people together physically for tours at this time, the team will be delivering online sessions twice a month using Zoom.
Using Zoom
We will be using the platform Zoom to bring people together.
You can access zoom through a laptop, tablet or smart phone. You don’t need to create an account to access the session.
Booking
To join this MAG Unlocked session please book here.
