Spend time with one of our guides exploring Manchester's public collection of art
Manchester Art Gallery
Saturday 6 June 2020, 4pm–5pm
Free, please book on Eventbrite
Guide and gallery gardener, Isabelle, explores a range of art works in the gallery’s collection thinking about our relationship with the natural world.
From the powerful symbol of a pineapple to the turbulent history of the tulip, this session will unlock a range of art works along the theme of gardens and green spaces.
With more of us noticing the nature around us in our period of lockdown, this is an opportunity to notice the nature depicted in Manchester’s public art collection.
Manchester Art Gallery has an amazing team of volunteer guides who deliver tours at the gallery usually four times a week.
While we can’t gather people together physically for tours at this time, the team will be delivering online sessions twice a month using Zoom.
Saturdays 4 – 5pm
June 6th and 20th
July 4th and 18th
August 1st and 15th
We will be using the platform Zoom to bring people together. https://zoom.us/
You can access zoom through a laptop, tablet or smart phone, just something that has a camera and mic. You don’t need to create an account to access the session.
