Join us for this creative workshop for adults inspired by our Victorian galleries
Manchester Art Gallery
Thursday 19 May 2016, 1pm–4pm
Making conversation workshops combine an artist-led exhibition tour/discussion with a making workshop and plenty of discussion and experimentation along the way.
This month we will be taking the Victorian galleries as our focus.
The workshop is led by artist Naomi Kendrick. Naomi uses the multi-sensory aspects of her own practice to encourage participants to understand the art works on display though touch, sound, smell, sight and sometimes even taste. This approach means that these workshops are also particularly appealing for blind and partially sighted participants. Naomi includes ‘audio description’ throughout the workshops to support this.
The workshops take place on the third Thursday of each month.
