Weekday, daytime hands-on workshop for adults.
Manchester Art Gallery
Thursday 15 October 2015, 1pm–4pm
Making conversation workshops combine an artist-led exhibition tour/discussion with a making workshop and plenty of discussion and experimentation along the way.
This month we’ll be taking a closer look at Matthew Darbyshire: An exhibition for modern living.
The workshop is led by artist Naomi Kendrick. Naomi uses the multi-sensory aspects of her own practice to encourage participants to understand the art works on display though touch, sound, smell, sight and sometimes even taste. This approach means that these workshops are also particularly appealing for blind and partially sighted participants. Naomi includes ‘audio description’ throughout the workshops to support this.
The workshops take place on the third Thursday of each month. (NB The originally published date for this event was incorrect).
