About this event:
Arrive anytime between 10-11:30 am – the session finishes at 12pm.
Open Doors is a series of creative sessions especially for autistic children, their families and carers. Each month we explore different artworks and ideas with our artists and volunteers. You can get hands on with a variety of making activities, explore the art gallery or just spend time together in our new children’s space, The Lion’s Den.
A quiet room is available.
Our sessions are run by Nadia from Autism for the Arts. Nadia is passionate about creating access to cultural venues for people with autism and other social communication issues. Artists Rox and Rachel also support the sessions.
The majority of our front of house staff have taken part in training to become more autism aware.
To be Covid-safe we are asking people to book via Eventbrite, this should enable us to monitor numbers carefully. Initially we can accommodate 15 families, you only need one ticket for each family.
*We do understand that you may wake up on the day of the session and feel it is difficult to make the journey to the gallery, please don’t worry about that, we understand.
