Patrick T. Davies is a spoken word artist and musician based in Manchester. Earlier this year he released his debut EP, Terrible Twenties, a poetic trip through the turbulent British landscape of the current day combined with some of his own, more insular, concerns.
But from despondency and disquiet must come change. With this in mind, the gallery’s Get Together and Get Things Done space will provide the back-drop for a unique one-off performance.
To tie in with the gallery’s exhibition to mark the bicentenary of the Peterloo Massacre and a century of change through socio-political dissent, Davies will perform a special one-man show entitled Cesspit Assessment – an arsenal of visceral spoken word set to a soundtrack of catchy electronica, accompanied by the space’s wealth of artistic intrigue.
