Be part of the conversation and contribute towards our future hot drinks exhibition
Manchester Art Gallery
Sunday 6 October 2019, 2pm–3.30pm
Join us for a conversation in the lead up to a new exhibition exploring the history of tea, coffee and hot chocolate: how they arrived in the UK, their hidden histories of slavery and colonisation and changing patterns of consumption right up to the present day.
The conversation will be led by a group of teachers following on from Tanya Bruguera’s School of Integration. Art and objects due to go on display will be a starting point for conversations with an opportunity to gather comments to contribute towards interpretation in the exhibition. Part of the Journeys Festival 2019.
