Summary

Brown wool felt hat, blocked in a single section, with tall round crown and wide shaped brim. Excavated from Anglezarke moor where it was found folded and deliberately buried. Faded ring at base of crown where ribbon/cord trim is missing; also signs of an original lining. Known contemporarily as a 'bullycock'.
