This is a scene containing six gentlemen. There are two central figures, both slender build. The one on the left is in a very casual pose, his left hand raised and is holding something in it, the right hand is inside his right trouser pocket. His right leg is crossed in front of his left. The gentleman on the right is looking, facing the gentleman on the left. He has a large pipe in his mouth, which he is holding in the middle with his right hand, his left hand is behind his back, he is listening to the other gentleman speak. There are two figures on the left of the image and two on the right, they are seated behind a table, which the central figures are stood in front of.
