Paul Nash 1889 - 1946

Summary

Landscape with track winding to left. Blue mountains in distance. Tree hanging over from right side. Fenced fields in middle ground right, green grass on left side and path in foreground. Red sky and shadows falling to right. Wooden fencing in foreground. Oxenbridge is in the Rother valley north-east of Rye, but it is NOT the location of Oxenbridge Cottage, Iden. where the Nashs lived from 1925 to 1930. The boundary between garden and countryside was a popular motif for Nash.
