Summary

A woman and children gleaning fallen corn in a field. There is a background of rolling hills with the sun to the centre right. The woman is standing to the right with a bundle of corn held on her head and another held in her left hand. She wears an apron over a blue dress. A child, wearing a red dress, is standing next to the woman and is holding a bundle of corn. She has her right arm raised toward the woman. A group of five children, to the centre and centre left, are sorting corn into bundles. There are large stacks of corn sheaves to the the left.
