Summary

A study drawing for a sculpture with emblematic figures. There is a central plinth which holds the bust of man and is inscribed 'VOX POPULI'. To each side there are women wearing loosely draped classical dress. The woman to the left holds a crown above the head of the bust. The woman to the right is draping a garland around the base of the bust. The support has been trimmed to the shape of the design.
