Summary

Public: Globular vase with tall wide neck, white earthenware, painted decoration of prowling leopards amongst grass and trees, in silver lustre on a green lustrous glaze. Private: Globular vase with flared foot and tall, wide flared neck, decorated with a dark green glaze. Painted round waist with four prowling leopards in a forest setting surrounded by clumps of grass and small rocks, all in silver lustre. Shoulder and neck painted in lustre with flowering plants and four tall slender trees in fruit, flowers and fruit painted in copper red. Between treetops below neck-rim groups of silver spiral motifs. Lustre has misfired slightly in places, discolouring green base glaze and giving it a lustrous sheen. Interior rim coated in plain gold silver lustre over blue glaze visible lower down.
