Summary

Public: Globular baluster vase, white earthenware, painted in underglaze blue with stylized flowers and leaves, and covered in a red-orange glaze with lustrous, transparent tin-glaze wash over the top. Private: Globular baluster vase tapering from high rounded shoulder to flat foot, with short, wide, straight neck. Painted in underglaze blue (possibly) round neck rim and round upper body with stylized continuous pattern of eight carnation type flowers and scrolling leaves, then covered with orange-red glaze into which the blue has bled in places. Body then apparently covered in a lustrous, transparent tin-glaze wash, with large pale yellow lustrous patch across one side and smaller patches on some flower heads across other side (see notes).
