Summary

Public: Moulded ovoid vase with flanged shoulder and vertical depressions, white earthenware, decorated with repeated pattern of deer between leafy vines in silver lustre on a vivid cobalt blue glaze. Private: Moulded ovoid vase tapering to flared footring, with flattened shoulder and seven vertical depressions running down body, wide neck with flared rim. Decorated with a vivid cobalt blue glaze. Painted in silver lustre round body with seven deer amid small plants, between seven tall vines running up body depressions from base and sprouting into large leaves and coiling tendrils at shoulder. These vines all spring up from horizontal stem running round body near base, creating wide lower border of large leaves and tendrils. Plain silver footring, gold silver lustre on neck with narrow copper lustre band by shoulder.
