Summary

Circular plaque with flattened rim at edge and raised well. Footring pierced with three holes for hanging. The whole decorated with deep cobalt blue glaze, pooling round outer edge of plate well. Well painted in silver lustre with left profile figure of St.George mounted on a rearing horse, and armed with a shield and lance. Figure outlined in copper lustre with copper details such as horse's bridle and reins. George's shield is of cobalt blue outlined in silver and copper, bearing thick copper lustre cross. Painted backdrop of silver lustre heart-shaped leaf scrolls and spots. Plaque rim decorated with chequered border in silver and copper lustre
