William Salter Mycock 1872 - 1950

Summary

Wide cylindrical vase curving in to high flared foot, sharp sloping shoulder and tall neck with flared rim. Decorated with an iridescent glaze, yellow-green around neck and shoulder, blending into blue round body. Painted round in silver lustre round lower body with two foxes, one on each side, among small tufts of grass. They are both looking up longingly at a continuous twisting grape vine round shoulder from which hang six heavy clusters of grapes in copper red with silver outlines. Hatched silver lustre border round foot, iridescent silver lustre and streaked green neck rim.
