Summary

Public: Bowl, white earthenware, decorated with leafy borders and foliage, in silver lustre and copper red over an orange glaze. Private: Finely potted, tapered circular bowl with slightly flared rim, on narrow footring. Decorated with a lustrous orange glaze, coated with copper red in the well and on exterior sides. Painted in bright gold silver lustre inside rim with wide border of wavy stem with groups of slender leaves against bright orange ground. In well below, bright copper red has been painted with speckles and strokes of silver, fired away to leave pale feathery foliage effect against red. Exterior sides covered in lustrous red-brown copper glaze, curdled round upper sides to reveal bright orange in streaks beneath. Dull silver lustre border round rim of continuous wave motif.
