Summary

Public: Ginger jar and cover, white earthenware, decorated with three fish swimming amongst weeds, in silver and copper lustre over a bright yellow-green glaze. Private: Globular ginger jar tapering to foot, with short slightly tapered neck and domed cover. Decorated with a bright yellow-green, slightly speckled glaze. Painted round shoulder and upper body with a band of three fish in silver lustre with copper ustre eyes, amongst scrolling silver weeds.Thick band of plain silver lustre below, narrower band above round neck. Cover decorated with border of silver scrolls round the side, plain iridescent silver across the top.
