Summary

Public: Slender cylindrical vase, white earthenware, decorated with four storks between cypress trees, in silver and copper lustre over a green speckled glaze. Private: Slender cylindrical vase tapering to ridged foot, sloping shoulder curving in to narrow flared neck. Decorated with a speckled yellow-green glaze, dark green around foot. Painted overglaze round waist and upper body with wide panel in silver lustre, containing four storks between four cypress trees, trees with chequered pattern in silver and copper lustre. Tufts of grass at ground level either side of birds, thick wavy horizon line behind in copper lustre. Four groups of cloud-like Chinese classic scrolls above birds. Wide panel round lower body of plain greyish silver lustre, shoulder and neck also in plain lustre, becoming gold and iridescent near neck rim.
