Summary

Public: Small globular jar and cover, white earthenware, decorated with foliage and berries, in silver lustre over a lustrous blue-green glaze. Private: Flattened globular jar tapering from flat shoulder to straight footring. Short tapered neck, domed lid with flattened rim and high pointed finial. Decorated with bright cobalt blue glaze turning dark streaked blue-green round lower body and covered in a lustrous wash. Painted in silver lustre round shoulder with scrolling stems and heart-shaped leaves reaching down from main stem encircling neck. Eight bunches of two small berries amongst leaves, berries reserved in bright blue ground with silver outlines. Cover decorated with a mottled green glaze, turquoise blue at rim. Scrolling stems with heart-shaped leaves and eight stems of two berries reserved in blue, in circular stem around central plain lustre finial. Iridescent lustre interior.
