Summary

Public: Ovoid vase, white earthenware, decorated with three pansies with broad leaves, in silver and copper lustre over a pale blue and green glaze. Private: Ovoid vase tapering to flared footring, with narrow, short, flared neck. Decorated with a speckled and slightly curdled pale blue and green glaze, predominantly green round shoulder and upper body, blue in patches round lower body and on footring (see notes). Painted with three large pansies, in copper lustre with silver outlines, on silver lustre stems reaching from foot to shoulder. Broad silver leaves surround each flower, small copper spots dotted amongst leaves. Irregular horizontal wavy triple line round lower body in copper lustre.
