Summary

Public: Flattened globular vase with tall neck, white earthenware, decorated with feathery foliage and simple flowers, in silver lustre and copper red over a sky blue glaze. Private: Flattened globular vase with wide waist curving in to straight footring, and tapering up to tall, narrow neck. Decorated with an even sky blue glaze, turning a pale green at neck rim. Painted round low shoulder in silver lustre with fine feathery foliage in eight scrolls, each with a copper red violet at it's centre. Eight bare stems emerge from between the scrolls, reaching up neck where they spread out into feathery fronds and end in a single copper red tulip. Blackened silver lustre band ound neck rim, iridescent gold silver lustre beneath waist, to footring. shape : 2340 range : Lancastrian
