Summary

Public: Globular vase with tall neck, white earthenware, decorated with four fish swimming amongst swirling weeds and bubbles, in silver lustre and copper red over an ivory glaze. Private: Globular vase tapering from rounded belly to tall narrow neck with flared rim, on wide inverted foot. Decorated with a ivory coloured glaze, turned brown round one side. Painted round body in silver lustre with four fish, swimming between four undulating slender weeds. Weeds are picked out in copper red, and rise as bare stems up to neck rim, neck speckled with copper red dots. River bed painted round base of vase, with small plants in silver lustre and copper red. Yellow staining visible in glaze surrounding lustre. shape : 2598 range : Lancastrian
