Summary

Public: Flattened globular vase with tall neck, white earthenware, decorated with Tudor roses and interlacing foliage, in silver lustre over a lustrous orange glaze. Private: Flattened globular vase with wide waist curving in to straight footring, and tapering up to tall, narrow neck. Decorated with a streaked orange-red glaze with a slightly lustrous sheen. Painted round low shoulder in silver lustre with six Tudor roses, each surrounded with interlacing stems and heart-shaped leaves. Each rose is reserved in white, showing through the orange glaze. Slightly streaked gold silver lustre neck, turning iridescent and black at rim; iridescent gold silver lustre beneath waist, to footring.
