Summary

Public: Globular vase with tall neck, white earthenware, decorated with three fish swimming amongst swirling water and bubbles, in silver and copper lustre over a blue-green glaze. Private: Globular vase tapering from rounded belly to tall narrow neck with flared rim, on wide inverted foot. Decorated with a blue-green glaze. Painted round body in silver lustre with three striped fish, swimming nose to tail against swirling water indicated by diagonal spiralling lines rising to neck in a dark green silver lustre. Silver lustre neck, turned a patchy dark purple. Bubbles and fish eyes picked out in copper lustre, copper lustre band round foot. Green staining on glaze immediately by lustre. shape : 2598 range : Lancastrian
