Summary

Public: Tapered cylindrical vase with moulded ring handles, white earthenware, decorated with heraldic lions and fleurs-de-lys, in silver lustre and copper red glaze over a bright green glaze. Private: Cylindrical vase tapering from rounded shoulder to flat foot, shoulder rising slightly to mouth with no neck. Two moulded relief ring-handles, one on each side by shoulder. Decorated with a bright yellow-green glaze, turned a reddish-brown and turquoise in patches round lower body. Lower half of body painted with pattern of fleurs-de-lys within 'lozengy' in bluish purple iridescent silver lustre. Painted round upper body between moulded handles with two lions 'passant guardant' in silver lustre, each within a rectangular panel bordered by silver bands. Plain iridescent silver lustre panels over handles. Shoulder painted with geometric silver lustre border over copper red, composed of zig-zag lines and small trefoils reserved in red.
